Compressor Engineering Centre Ltd.
Compressor Engineering Centre is a fully integrated Russian and international technology-based centrifugal compressor and compressor units manufacturing plant
In the middle of 2026, Globaltechexport Ltd. is going to launch a new high-tech, fully integrated manufacturing plant at the Borovsk Site of the Kaluga Special Economic Zone. The state-of-the-art plant with an area of 5 hectares, located just 100 kilometers from Moscow, will focus on the manufacturing of competitive centrifugal compressors and compressor units, much needed by Russian oil and gas and energy companies. The plant's products are intended for full-fledged replacement of imported machines and implementation of the import substitution program in key areas previously launched by the President of the Russian Federation.
The SEZ resident status enables not only to benefit from a favorable location, but also tax benefits and other preferences, as well as the support of the regional authorities. This assistance is extremely important for long-term planning and future plant development.
This key project of Globaltechexport Ltd. was announced in mid-June 2025 as part of the participation of the Company Director, Philipp Tuponosov, in the 28th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. After a productive joint working meeting, the Governor of Kaluga Region, Vladislav Shapsha, signed an agreement for the construction of a state-of-the-art, world-class manufacturing plant in a solemn ceremony.
By that time, our team of specialists with many years of experience had been working on the detailed development of the project for many months. The process and manufacturing building design based on Globaltechexport's in-house developments and know-how started in September 2024 and was completed 12 months later. The site preparation, civil works, materials, and equipment procurement entered their active phase in September 2025
Further construction project plan:
-
The first manufacturing building with utility systems and services will be completed and commissioned in May 2026;
-
Installation of on-site equipment is scheduled for April-June 2026;
-
Pre-commissioning will take place in June-August 2026;
-
The start-up of production is scheduled for September 2026.
The manufacturing plant will apply the most advanced practices and approaches that meet the world standards, including modeling, state-of-the-art materials, and a machine-tool fleet, as well as a lean culture.
More about plant equipment and areas:
-
Building 1 is the assembly and testing complex, including compressor assembly and piping, testing and inspection areas (acceptance, qualification, balance and acceleration tests), mechanical area with machine tools (at the initial stage);
-
Building 2 is the blank preparation and processing complex, equipped with a fleet of state-of-the-art machine tools, metalworking, welding, painting, and other equipment, also including mechanical and heat treatment, cleaning and painting, welding areas, and a chemical heat treatment line;
-
Projected Building 3 is a complex for production scaling-up and mastering new advanced products, equipped with additional equipment and new mechanical processing areas;
-
Standalone warehouse building including areas for storing materials and manufactured products.
The release of finished products is expected in December 2026 — Compressor Engineering Centre will design, assemble, manufacture, and test:
-
Single-shaft and multi-shaft centrifugal compressor units;
-
Screw compressor units;
-
Spare parts and components for compressor units, including shafts, wheels, and bearings;
